As dog lovers, we know the joy of finding the perfect spot where both you and your furry companion can enjoy some quality time. Luckily, Amsterdam is full of dog-friendly cafes and coffee spots that welcome pups with open arms!
Cafecito
If you’re on the lookout for great coffee paired with stunning interior design, Cafecito is your go-to. Even Perro Collection had the pleasure of doing a photoshoot there with one of their furry friends for the „Caffe Latte collection”. With four locations around Amsterdam, it’s a local favorite—and for good reason. Alongside their excellent coffee and matcha, they offer a tempting selection of pastries for those with a sweet tooth.
The real highlight? Every Cafecito location has wonderful outdoor seating, making it an ideal spot to relax with your coffee and take in the city vibes. If you’re in search of a stylish place to enjoy a drink and a pastry, Cafecito won’t disappoint.
Coffee District
Let’s kick things off by saying this spot has some of the best banana bread we’ve ever tasted—seriously, it’s that good! Beyond their amazing banana bread, their pastries are top-notch. As a dog-friendly café, Coffee District goes the extra mile by offering fresh water bowls and treats for your furry companion while you sip your coffee and enjoy a snack.
They currently have two locations. The one on Hendrik Jacobszstraat has indoor seating options, while their newest spot features outdoor benches—perfect for watching the world go by, pets included. However, our personal favorite is the Willemsparkweg location, thanks to its proximity to Vondelpark; perfect for a walk with your dog.
Coffee Concepts
Does this sound familiar? It should—Coffee Concepts is loved by many pet owners and frequently mentioned by our readers. This unique spot doubles as a PR agency, serving fantastic coffee at its two Amsterdam locations.
Our favorite location is just a short walk from Vondelpark, featuring indoor seating where you can enjoy a quick coffee before taking your dog for a stroll in the park.
Rainbowls
When it comes to acai bowls, Rainbowls is hands down the best place in town, located in the Pijp. We can’t stop raving about their signature purple bowl—it’s a must-try! And while you’re there, don’t miss out on their excellent matcha and freshly brewed coffee.
One bonus for dog lovers is Moos, the owner’s adorable French bulldog, who often makes an appearance and adds to the spot’s charm. Whether you’re craving an acai bowl or just looking for a cozy place with great coffee, Rainbowls is a spot not to miss.
Uncommon
Uncommon is known for its inviting ambiance, both indoors and outdoors. Nestled on Eerste Constantijn Huygensstraat in West, it’s conveniently close to Vondelpark, making it a great stop during or after a park walk. The staff here are especially welcoming to dogs, offering treats and affection to your four-legged friends.
Whether you’re grabbing a coffee and pastry to-go or want to savor something from their ever-changing seasonal menu, Uncommon has something for everyone.
The Block
The Block at Gaasterlandstraat is a stylish, dog-friendly hotspot that combines modern design with a warm atmosphere. With its sleek grey interiors and contemporary furnishings, this space offers a chic yet comfortable environment for you and your furry companion.
The Block features a welcoming terrace where dogs are not just allowed but encouraged to join their owners while enjoying a cup of coffee or a light meal. The spacious layout makes it easy for pets to relax alongside their humans. Plus, the surrounding neighborhood is perfect for leisurely walks, allowing your pup to explore while you take in the striking architecture. Whether you’re stopping by for brunch or just to unwind, The Block is a fantastic destination for dog lovers seeking a modern vibe in Amsterdam.
