Two Ateliers, One Language
Perro Collection was founded in Amsterdam in 2017. Its collars, leashes and harnesses are made by hand in the brand's own atelier in Tuscany, and a single collar takes one and a half to two and a half hours of handwork.
Maison Molier was founded in 2026 and calls itself “a modern leather house, shaped as a mobile atelier”. The name joins two words, Mobile and Atelier. The house makes what it calls “everyday leather icons”: iPhone cases, MagSafe wallets, sunglass sleeves and passport holders. Its own account is brief and exact: “We work with one leather, in six colours.” That leather is full-grain Saffiano, sourced and tanned in Italy.
The two houses already knew each other's work. What they share is easy to name and harder to practise: made in Italy, a monochrome style, quiet luxury and a view of design as something that has to function before it is admired.
The Collar and the Case
Neither object is a statement piece. That is precisely why they matter. A phone case is in your hand more often than any bag. A collar is on your dog for every walk. These are the things that are seen daily and judged quietly.
Look closer and the two leathers answer each other. Maison Molier's Saffiano carries a cross-hatch that, in the house's words, “resists scratches and ages into a patina that is yours alone”. The Mocha Mousse collar is cut from soft bovine grained Italian leather, with a glove-like touch and rounded edges. Two surfaces. One tone.
Even the gold is shared. Maison Molier pieces are “marked in gold”, on the back and inside, ton-sur-ton. A Perro Collection collar is finished with multi-layer gold-plated hardware, and its leather hangtag can carry your dog's initial, hand-engraved in gold foil at no extra cost.
Monochrome is not the absence of an idea. It is one idea, held with discipline.
Why Mocha
Maison Molier names one of its six colours Moka. At Perro Collection the shade is Mocha Mousse, a warm, light brown that the atelier describes as a colour for any season.
It runs through the whole walk: the collar, the Mocha Mousse leash, the step-in harness and the poop bag holder, each in soft bovine grained Italian leather and each in Mocha Mousse. One colour, carried through, the way Maison Molier keeps to one leather.
This is what monochrome means here. Not neutral by default, but a decision made once and kept, from your dog's collar to your own pocket.
A Mocha Edit
On 3 September 2026 the two houses announced the collaboration on Instagram: “GIVEAWAY, PERRO COLLECTION x MAISON MOLIER. We've teamed up to give one lucky winner the ultimate Mocha edit, worth approximately €350.” The giveaway has since closed and the winner was announced on the post.
